Leotard Lines springs from memories of after-school gymnastics — scraped knees, sweaty palms, and the pride of a perfectly timed cartwheel. The pattern’s alternating stripes shift direction in squares, mimicking the energy and motion of routines performed on cold hall floors in brightly coloured uniforms.
Drawn in coloured pencil with a handmade texture, the design reflects the structure and dynamism of childhood movement. It’s neat but never rigid — a balance of play and precision, just like those early gym sessions. Whether you're creating fabric for kidswear, active accessories, or playful stationery, Leotard Lines brings rhythm, retro charm, and a touch of nostalgia.
