I first visited the pink salt lakes near Esperance while living in Kalgoorlie.
The funny thing is, they weren't nearly this pink.
But that's the beauty of painting. Sometimes it's less about capturing exactly what you saw and more about capturing what stayed with you.
Inspired by the salt lakes, coastline and big skies of Western Australia, this piece is my bold interpretation of a landscape that felt almost unreal.
A celebration of colour, contrast and the incredible places that make Australia feel unlike anywhere else.
