The Story Behind the Homegrown Collection

Patterns inspired by childhood memories and Aussie nostalgia

There’s something about the smell of campfire smoke, the crunch of dry grass underfoot, or the distant cries from across the dam as we caught yabbies and built them little houses — it all instantly pulls me back to childhood.

My Homegrown Collection was born from those kinds of memories.

It’s a love letter to the countryside I grew up in

Exploring the bush and building cubbies in the scrub, the neatly ploughed lines in the paddocks, fishing lines cast into creeks, the click-clack of Grandma’s button tin.

All the beautifully ordinary moments that shaped my early years.

Each pattern in the collection captures a little slice of that time.

🧶 Grandma’s Buttons is a quiet nod to rainy-day sewing sessions.
🎣 Yabby Races brings the muddy chaos and laughter of dam-side adventures to life.
🚲 Trike Tracks is all about the freedom and fun of endless play with my siblings.
🐎 Horsing Around remembers dusty trail rides and pony games in the sun.
🔥 Campfire Nights captures starry skies and smoky jumpers by the fire.

Chilli Patch, Purple Rain, Country Squares, Plough Lines, Jacaranda Path, Leotard Lines, Stitch in Time, and Homegrown Days each hold their own memory — from homecooked meals to backyard gymnastics and bush walks.

Homegrown Days ties them all together

It’s the heart of the collection, layering those scattered memories of horses, red trikes, jacaranda petals and early morning fog into a single, textured print.

Hand-drawn Memories

Everything was drawn by hand using coloured pencils — I wanted that raw, handmade feel to shine through. You’ll find slightly wobbly lines, textured marks, and imperfections that feel more like memory than design.

It’s nostalgic, a bit playful, and full of warmth.
